Since 2008, Ghost Ship has been the Bay Area’s most elaborate and spectacular Halloween party. Founded by the legendary party scientists The Space Cowboys Sunset Promotions joined the fun in 2009. Usually held at one of the massive hangars at San Francisco’s Treasure Island, Ghost Ship features multiple stages, gigantic sound, fantastic artcars and art installations, outlandish costumes and a brand-new originally constructed ghost ship each year. Many of the art installations constructed for Ghost Ship are commissioned for the event and never seen again. Drawing more than 3000 people every year, the event typically sells out in short order as the audience has come to expect a level of art and production value unparalleled at most Halloween Parties. Talent begins with the Djs of the Space Cowboys and features the city’s top underground crews including the Janky Barge, District, Deep End, Brass Tax, Strategik and Sunsetsf.
