All Shook Down Music Festival was created by SF Weekly and Sunset Promotions to combine North Beach Jazz Fest and the SF Weekly Music Awards into a fresh, vibrant event that celebrates the many musical facets of the Bay Area. The talent for the event is selected by the Music Editorial staff at SF Weekly and the production is handled by Sunset and GoldenVoice. In 2010 the event took place on the streets and clubs of North Beach and featured Janelle Monáe, Neon Indian and over 30 local bands and artists. In 2011, the event will take place at the Regency Center and feature Crystal Castles, Mistah Fab and a wide range of terrific local artists.
