SunsetSF is proud to present the inaugural edition of "REGROOVED" in association with Ghettofunk and Goodgroove Records. For the first time ever in SF, we offer you the legendary power pack of A.Skillz & Krafty Kuts on 4 turntables joined by UK superstar Dynamite MC. A.Skillz & Krafty Kuts is arguably the most important duo in the development of breakbeat, dancefloor turntablism and the remix movement. Dynamite MC is among the most accomplished rappers in the dance music world, having recorded and performed with the likes of Roni Size Reprazent, Caspa, the Nextmen, Marky and High Contrast. They will be joined by a who's who of the city's finest, including Motion Potion (SunsetSF), Mancub (Space Cowboys), The Oakland Faders (Platurn & Enki), Nufunk Boutique (Smoove, Deckard & Melyss) and on the Silent Frisco soundsystem, the MoM DJs, (Timoteo, Gordo Cabeza and U9lift). Yush , peace to everyone loggin on , those of you who know me and those of you who don't , i'm still busy as usual, doing shows internationally , representing the world of Drum & Bass / Hip Hop / Dubstep and breaks , and some other stuff in between , but thats always been my style , i like it all. My new album "I don't like M.C's but you're alright/Styles Galore ! " will be released soon , exact date not yet determined , but be sure to be ready , its straight hip hop this time with all the styles and flavours u can expect from yours truly . Motion Potion
MoPo (aka Robbie Kowal) is one of America's most versatile,
experienced and flat-out joyous party rockers. His decade long mission is to 'put the party back into the party', and to connect the casual music fan with the hard core dance music mavens; proving that music is more than just beats. San Francisco's bootleg indie remix partypusher, is known for a rare ability to play exactly the right music for the moment and an expertise with a wide variety of genres that he seamlessly melds into a coherent blend. Since breaking out as a rare groove Dj in the 90's he has spent the 21st Century using eclectic club styles, break beat, trip hop and tech funk as a backdrop for his genrebending experiments. From a near religious love of funk and hip hop, to a lifetime study of rock and roll to a massive aptitude for latin, reggae and other outernational formats, MoPo incorporates bits and pieces of music culture into electronic edits that slam the dancefloor. As a backdrop, he creates, edits or chooses only the biggest baddest breaks, hooks and drops to create a sound that truly slams. To the dancer, MoPo is a breath of fresh air, often transforming a room into collective song or crowd chant that connect the audience to the DJ.

Timoteo
Timoteo Gigante has been playing music since he was 13 and DJing since the mid 1990s. He moved to Europe out of high school to enrich his world-view and learn different musical techniques, e.g. flamenco guitar. After a year in Spain and many months around central Europe he returned to San Francisco to further seek exploration in music and music history. He was awakened each morning to the VERY loud scratch routines of DJ Gordo Cabeza. They lived together for several years. Timo couldn’t beat him, so he joined him. Stealing many hours of practice on Gordo’s turntables and spending a small fortune on records led, quickly, to many gigs and residencies in SF, NYC and Europe.
His musical selections have the common bond of two distinct characteristics: Soul and Funk. From the Columbian disco of Fruko y sus Tesos to the soulful reggae vocals of Alton Ellis and John Holt. From Golden Era hip hop (His brother was in a break dancing crew in 1983) to Motown. From Nigerian legend Fela Ransome-Kuti to The Funky Meters (Art Neville picked him up hitchhiking when he was 18 and invited him back to his home studio). From Neo Soul to Jamaican Dub. From House music to Brazilian music. There are no boundaries to his musical explorations.
